Feud over? Donald Trump sat down with Megyn Kelly for a meeting in New York City Wednesday and he no longer seems to have a problem with the Fox anchor he once referred to as "Crazy Megyn." The audience booed Kelly's name when she was mentioned at a Trump town hall with Sean Hannity Wednesday night, Mediaite reports, but they applauded when he said she had been "very, very nice" during the Trump Tower meeting. Trump said Kelly called last week to set up the meeting. "Maybe it was time, or maybe she felt it was time," he said. "I give her a lot of credit for, you know, doing what she did."
On her show Wednesday night, Kelly had a similar take on the meeting, reports Politico. "We met for about an hour, just the two of us, and had a chance to clear the air," she said. "Mr. Trump and I discussed the possibility of an interview. And I hope we will have news to announce on that soon." Fox—which accused Trump last month of having an "extreme, sick obsession" with Kelly—issued a statement suggesting the meeting was about a special Kelly is hosting in May. "Kelly has acknowledged in recent interviews that Trump is a fascinating person to cover and has electrified the Republican base," the statement said. (Trump recently explained his Twitter strategy. It involves shouting.)
