Baby Bald Eagle Dies on Livecam

A baby bald eagle whose hatching was streamed on a livecam Monday night in York County, Pa., has died, the AP reports. The eaglet was first shown to be moving on the Pennsylvania Game Commission's livecam, but it later became limp and flies could be seen on it, according to LancasterOnline. Another egg, laid three days after the first, is still unhatched.

"This is nature," says one commenter on the game commission's Facebook page, per LancasterOnline. "Beautiful and sometimes ugly. I try to remove my human emotions and marvel at its efficiency." The commission warns, "The live stream provides an opportunity to view wildlife in its natural setting. Sometimes, that may include scenes that are difficult to watch."
