It was barely a losing streak before the Rockets got back to their winning ways. Houston eked one out Golden State last night, 109-106, to end the brief two-game slide that followed their record win streak. "It was a huge win for us," Rockets coach Rick Adelman said. "After the last two games and then coming in here playing a team that’s like us, fighting, we had a solid game right on through.”
Baron Davis and Monta Ellis wouldn’t back down for the Warriors, as they combined for 47 points. But with some restructuring to their offense, the Rockets were able to give Tracy McGrady a little more breathing room, as he ended the game with 26 points, eight boards, and eight assists. The win moves Houston back into a tie for second place in the Western Conference. (More Houston Rockets stories.)
