(Courtesy Dan Jacobs via AP) Rob Ford's office confirms that the former Toronto mayor is in palliative care at Mount Sinai Hospital and that his family is focused on making him as comfortable as possible, the Toronto Star reports. "Family members have been with him around the clock," Ford’s brother and former city councillor Doug Ford says. "I have been at the hospital for the last five days and nights by his side. Rob is a fighter and continues to fight." Rob Ford dropped his 2014 bid for re-election when he was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer, and last week, his office had to dispel rumors that he'd died. Also last week, Ford's chief of staff told the CBC that Ford was not responding to the latest round of chemotherapy but that his doctors were hoping to try another combination of drugs if his condition improved enough to allow it.
