A game after Houston's historic 22-game winning streak was broken, New Orleans added to the misery. Rockets castoff Bonzi Wells had 20 points in the fourth quarter, during which the Hornets outscored Houston 31-10 to turn a tie game into a 90-69 blowout, reports the Houston Chronicle. Wells ended with 25.

Thus ended another franchise-record streak—a 12-game run on the road. With the win, the Hornets returned to the top of the Western Conference, a position the Rockets had enjoyed just days ago. New Orleans's torrid finish erased a sloppy beginning; the Hornets missed 9 of their first 10 shots. (More NBA stories.)
