The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists were set to adjust the Doomsday Clock on Tuesday if necessary, but they announced in Washington, DC, that it remains at three minutes to midnight. The clock "conveys how close we are to destroying our civilization with dangerous technologies of our own making," per the world's leading scientists, according to the Bulletin's website. Midnight represents doomsday, and the time is re-assessed every year, ABC News reports. Last year, the time was bumped up two minutes thanks to climate change and nuclear weapons.
