No, Those Aren't Snails on Pluto

Bad news for future residents of Pluto with a fondness for escargot: The planet is not, in fact, covered with giant snails—despite images beamed back to Earth from the New Horizons probe that bear a weird resemblance to the creatures. The images, published by NASA, show oddly-shaped objects in pathways "similar in form to the slime trails left by earth snails on concrete," per the Houston Chronicle. In one image, an object appears to be approaching a fork in the path. Turns out, the objects are "dirty" icebergs traveling across an icy nitrogen plain known as the Sputnik Planum, says NASA.
