Davis scores 19 in second half to lift Warriors past Grizzlies

The Portland Trail Blazers hung on to their dwindling playoff hopes with a 107-96 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves last night, reports the Associated Press. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 26 points and Brandon Roy added 25 points and eight assists for Portland. The Blazers are 10th in the West, 7 games behind Golden State for the last playoff spot. In other NBA action:

  • Baron Davis overcame a jammed pinkie finger in time to score 19 second-half points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 110-107 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The win moved the Warriors two games ahead of Denver for the last playoff spot in the West. The Warriors, who have won eight of their last 10, also got 21 points from Stephen Jackson.
