Ray Allen sat out with a bruised heel. With Allen out, recent signing Sam Cassell made his biggest contribution so far to the Celtics as he hit three jumpers to spark an 18-6 run in the decisive second quarter. In other NBA action: Richard Jefferson scored with 1.5 seconds remaining to lift the Nets to a 117-115 win over the Utah Jazz. Jefferson finished with 25 points and Vince Carter had 25. Amare Stoudemire scored 30 points and had 10 rebounds to lift the Phoenix Suns past the Sacramento Kings 127-99. The Suns outscored the Kings 42-14 in the second quarter. (More NBA stories.)
