President Obama landed in Paris just before midnight Sunday and his motorcade took an unexpected route along the Seine. The president, who's in France for climate change talks, rode past the Eiffel Tower, the French Assembly building, and the Bastille before arriving at the famed Bataclan concert hall, site of the worst bloodshed when terrorists struck Paris on Nov. 13. French President Francois Hollande and the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, joined Obama for a late-night tribute to the victims. Each added a single rose to the collection of remembrances at a makeshift memorial and the three bowed their heads for a long moment of silence. (The day after the attacks, a man turned up outside the Bataclan with a piano and played John Lennon's Imagine.)
