Donald Trump is sticking by his claim that he saw thousands of people in New Jersey cheering the 9/11 attacks, although video of such celebrations has stubbornly failed to materialize. In an interview with NBC's Meet the Press, Trump said his people are searching for video clips, "but for some reason, they're not that easy to come by." But he insisted he had seen footage of celebrations in New Jersey and said hundreds of people had contacted him to say they had seen the same thing, so he has no intention of backing down from his remarks. "I have a very good memory," he told host Chuck Todd, per CNN. "I'll tell you, I have a very good memory. I saw it somewhere on television many years ago and I never forgot it—and it was on television, too." More on Trump:
- Trump told Todd that not only does allowing Syrian refugees into the US have the "potential to be one big fat Trojan horse," the Obama administration is planning to allow in 20 times more refugees than the 10,000 it has spoken of. "I have it, upon a certain amount of knowledge—I'm very friendly with a lot of people on both sides—that Obama's plan is 200,000-250,000," Trump said.
