A man and woman have been arrested after officials say they prolonged a standoff with Florida police in order to have sex. Police say they responded Wednesday night to a Jacksonville mobile home in search of 34-year-old Ryan Patrick Bautista, who was wanted on several warrants including armed burglary, First Coast News reports. Bautista and 30-year-old Leanne Hunn were holed up in the mobile home, and police say they tried to make contact with the people inside for about 45 minutes. A woman then emerged and apparently said she had gone there to attend a birthday party, but when police came Bautista hauled her into the bedroom for fear he'd be arrested if she went outside.
Only when she started crying was she allowed out, and another woman joined her, according to the police report. When Bautista and Hunn still refused to come outside, police got Hunn on the phone, and she allegedly said that "she would come out but wanted to have sex with Bautista one last time" and got off the line. When she still didn't emerge, a SWAT team arrived, forced their way in, and arrested the pair. Both were charged with resisting arrest and false imprisonment. (More arrest stories.)
