An employee of one of New Jersey's top pork roll makers was fired for passing too much gas in the office, at least according to his wife, who's suing the company. Louann Clem claims her husband suffered serious consequences, including extreme gas and uncontrollable diarrhea, from gastric bypass surgery, the Home News Tribune reports.
The lawsuit alleges that Case Pork Roll Co. president Thomas Dolan complained about the side effects and told Rich Clem to work from home because he made the office smell. But owner Tom Grieb says Clem and his wife, who also worked there, walked out when business wasn't good and they refused to take a pay cut. The lawsuit seeks unspecified punitive and compensatory damages. (More fart stories.)
