Thousands of students are entering middle school this week, but one teen apparently entered a Delaware middle school a little too soon, and illegally, the AP reports. Cops say Michael Claude, 19, broke into Laurel Middle School yesterday and told them he took a Labor Day joyride through the halls on a buffing machine, then jumped into an elevator to continue his adventure, WBOC reports. But the elevator decided it wasn't going to work on its day off and stalled, forcing Claude to make an uncomfortable call to 911, police say.

Cops had to call an elevator maintenance service to bust out Claude, who police say also had a Laurel letterman jacket that didn't belong to him. The teen was charged with third-degree burglary, criminal mischief, and theft and was released on $3,800 bond, per WBOC. It also looks like students at the school will have to take the stairs for a few more days: The elevator won't be able to be fixed till next week, per the station. (At least he didn't call 911 to get his air conditioner fixed.)
