He may be a "feckless blowhard," but Donald Trump sure knows how to generate headlines. Today, Trump went after fellow candidate Lindsey Graham in the senator's home state of South Carolina, accusing him in a speech of being an "idiot" and then rattling off Graham's personal phone number, reports the Hill. It was the real deal, because Politico tried it and Graham answered. “When it comes to the Donald, nothing surprises me anymore,” said Graham, who had called Trump a "jackass" yesterday over his John McCain insult.
Trump said Graham himself had given him the number a few years ago while "begging" him for a reference to appear on Fox News. (Both stories use the word "rambling" to describe Trump's speech.) As for that earlier McCain dig, USA Today notes that Trump "semi" apologized for it while on Fox yesterday. "Certainly if there was a misunderstanding, I would totally take that back," he told Bill O'Reilly, adding that he does think McCain is a hero. (More Donald Trump stories.)
