Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is due to be sentenced to death today, but survivors and victims' relatives were given a chance to address the court beforehand. Some examples, from the AP, WBUR, and the Boston Globe:
- Bill Richard: “He chose to do nothing to prevent all of this from happening," said the father of 8-year-old Martin, who was killed. "He chose hate. He chose destruction. He chose death."
- Jennifer Rogers: He's a "leech abusing the privilege of American freedom." Her brother, Sean Collier, was the MIT officer murdered. “He ran his own brother over with a car. He had no issues shooting mine in the head."
