A Mississippi superintendent has had a change of heart after filing charges against family members who cheered at a high school graduation in Senatobia in May. Jay Foster, who had told attendees to hold their applause until the end of the ceremony, dropped the charges of disturbing the peace yesterday, a day before the case was to be heard in court, WREG reports. Those charged, however, say the damage is done. "It gave me a bad name like I'm a hoodlum or like I'm a delinquent or something," says Henry Walker, who was at the ceremony to support his little sister. "She is blaming this whole thing on herself, which is not right. She doesn't deserve that at all." (More graduation stories.)
