A night hanging out with friends ended in tragedy for two Chicago 23-year-olds in February, and now one of the men is facing involuntary manslaughter charges, the Chicago Tribune reports. Prosecutors say Antonio Lampley, Derrius Drakes, and other pals were hanging out in a car near Lampley's Roseland home on Feb. 25, smoking pot and listening to music. Lampley, who was said to have been in the back seat, was "moving to the music" while holding a gun, per the assistant state's attorney, but he reportedly says he forgot that there was still a bullet in the chamber; the gun went off, striking Drakes, who sitting in the front. Lampley allegedly hid the gun and drove his friend to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Lampley talked to the police, but the Tribune says "he was very intoxicated" and kept telling different stories to the detectives. A gunshot residue test that cops did on Lampley's hands came back positive last month, witnesses who had been in the car fingered Lampley as the shooter, and about six weeks after the incident, Lampley himself told another friend he had shot Drakes by mistake, the assistant state's attorney tells the paper. Police checking out the car say they found a single bullet hole in the car's front seat. A $200,000 bond was set for Lampley on Sunday, and he'll have his next court appearance on June 25, per the Chicago Sun-Times. (A Texas party among friends also ended in tragedy last month—reportedly over beer pong.)
