A cheating spouse is one obvious reason for divorce, but Prevention rounds up several other weird factors, for reasons that aren't always clear. A sampling:
- Long commute: When one or more spouse travels 45 minutes or more each way, the rate of divorce ticks up.
- Peer pressure: People are far more likely to divorce if a family member or a close friend has done so.
- A daughter: For some reason, a couple whose first child is a girl is more likely to divorce.
