Seinfeld is coming to streaming video in its entirety for the first time. Hulu landed the rights to all 180 episodes in a massive deal valued at nearly a million bucks per episode, Variety reports, calling it "another sign that Hulu is stepping up its game." Amazon, Yahoo, and Netflix were also interested in picking up the series, but Netflix ultimately dropped out of the running to spend about half as much per episode ($500,000) on Friends instead, reports the Wall Street Journal. (The Journal, however, has Hulu paying $700,000 per Seinfeld episode; sources for the Los Angeles Times and Deadline say the value is somewhere between $700,000 and $1 million per episode.) Hulu is expected to announce the deal today. (More Seinfeld stories.)
