Louis CK: I Apologized to Sarah Palin

Louis CK went on Howard Stern's show today and revealed a professional first: He apologized to someone over a comic slam—and that someone was none other than Sarah Palin. As Mediaite recounts, the comedian drunk-tweeted some vile comments about Palin five years ago that took on a life of their own. When he came face-to-face with her at the after-party of Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary show, he recalled that "something came over me emotionally" and he told her, "I owe you an apology."

The comedian explained to Palin—who had approached him to compliment his performance on the show—that he had made some nasty comments about her a while back. Palin took it in good spirits. "Well, you're a vile person," she said, making him laugh. She even invited him to Alaska to go fishing. "I've never in a million years apologized for anything I've said," Louis told Stern. But he added that it's not going to become a habit, either. (More Louis CK stories.)
