A Mexican lucha libre wrestler died early yesterday from a flying kick he took inside the ring in a match that continued for almost two minutes before anyone realized he was injured. As NBC News reports, Pedro Aguayo Ramirez was rushed to a hospital a block away from the Tijuana match, but died at 1:30am local time. The state prosecutor's office says that it's opened a manslaughter investigation into his death; his cause of death is listed as "trauma to the neck and a cervical fracture," reports the AP. Aguayo Ramirez, the 35-year-old son of another revered wrestler, had competed in the sport for 20 years and went by Hijo de Perro Aguayo in the ring. "I have no words for this terrible news," said the director of the AAA wrestling federation. (More wrestler stories.)
