A toddler whose recovery from a fall into an icy river has doctors marveling, and a crazy coincidence involving an VHS tape are on the list:

• Toddler OK After Icy Plunge, 101 Minutes of CPR: A 22-month-old Pennsylvania boy whose lifeless body was pulled from an icy creek was revived after an hour and 41 minutes of CPR and has suffered virtually no lingering effects. It's not just Gardell Martin's recovery in itself but the speed of it that surprised doctors.
• Why One Couple Is Getting Married 38 Times: It's not so much an interesting wedding idea as an interesting weddings idea. Cheetah Platt, 30, and Rhiann Woodyard, 32, scrapped the traditional notion of spending their money on one ceremony and decided to travel the world to get married multiple times in multiple locales. For efficiency, they figured out how to exchange vows DIY-style.

• Old Video Captures Married Couple Together—as Kids: An old VHS home video shows a married New Jersey couple in the same frame while they visited an amusement park as kids with their respective families. The little girl at Sesame Place theme park in 1988 is Jourdan Barovick, and the boy who pops into the shot late is Ryan Spencer. They would have their first date 16 years later.
• 57 Dogs Saved From S. Korean Dog-Meat Farm: Nearly 60 dogs going up for adoption in San Francisco have an unusual pedigree: All were destined to become dinner before their rescue. Two groups, Humane Society International and the Change for Animals Foundation, managed it all with a trip to South Korea.
• South Carolina Cat Turns Up in California: Kevin the cat disappeared two years ago in South Carolina and turned up this month about 2,000 miles away in California. It's another for the cat-came-back files, but the orange tabby needed a helping hand to do so.
