Charlie Sheen is not happy about his character's exit from Two and a Half Men. In case you went to a lot of trouble to neither watch nor read about the series finale last month, here's what you need to know to appreciate this story:
- The finale involved a body double dressed as Charlie Sheen's character (who was last seen on the show in 2011) ringing the doorbell of his old house and then getting crushed by a piano. Series creator Chuck Lorre was also crushed by a piano, after uttering Sheen's catchphrase, "Winning!" And, in the vanity card note he always runs at the end of an episode, Lorre explained that Sheen was offered the chance to play himself in the finale—in this plan, he would have been crushed by the piano after going "on a maniacal rant about the dangers of drug abuse" and calling himself a "ninja warrior from Mars," reports Vulture, which has the full text—but Sheen refused.
TMZ caught up with Sheen at an LA mall this week and captured his reaction on video to the Men finale. Needless to say, it must be seen to be believed, but it includes the line, "To go that low and be that immature and that completely unevolved and that stupid, in MY face, really? You must feel safe, motherf---er. You must feel safe where you live." (Sheen was recently spotted with his ex.)
