Today in the Bad Ideas Dept.: A Vogue editor in Paris for fashion week posted an Instagram picture of an apparently homeless person reading the iconic magazine, with the caption: "Paris is full of surprises ... and @voguemagazine readers even in unexpected corners!" Fashionista, which has a screenshot of the since-deleted post, called Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis' move "tasteless" and "out of touch" and noted that many commenters were similarly unamused. The 32-year-old aristocrat and style editor-at-large was at first unapologetic, Page Six reports, responding at one point, "OMG calm down. Even the homeless are allowed to have good taste."
She later deleted the post, though, and yesterday posted a different picture along with the message, "I wanted to extend my sincerest apologies for the offense my post has caused. Yours truly Elisabeth." (More Vogue stories.)
