The alleged perpetrators of this prison break needed no weapons—only lingerie and spiked bottles of whiskey, CNN reports. According to local media, two women showed up at a prison in Nova Mutum, a small city in central Brazil, and persuaded the guards to let them in for a chat and a drink. The guards were found handcuffed and naked the next day, with 26 prisoners gone. Drugged bottles of whiskey and two scanty, police-themed lingerie outfits provided the evidence. "We assume that is what the women were wearing when they seduced the guards," says a justice official. Authorities are holding the two guards (who have no recollection of events) as well as the prison director, who was reportedly sleeping on the premises at the time.

The women "unlocked the central gate which accesses the internal cells," says Police Chief Angelina de Andrades Ferreira, per the Telegraph. "Whoever wanted to escape left by the front door." She says inmates also took shotguns, revolvers, and ammunition. Since then, authorities have recaptured 11 of them, Fox13 Now reports—including one who was wandering around downtown drunk with a prison rifle, and another who stole a truck from a farm and crashed it. One of the alleged female perps was dating an 18-year-old inmate who escaped that night: "Everything indicated that he planned and executed everything, with the help of his girlfriend," says Ferreira. The three prison officers have been charged with "facilitating a jailbreak" and "culpable embezzlement" due to the firearms theft. (More Brazil stories.)
