A passenger bus crashed into an oil tanker in southern Pakistan early yesterday, killing at least 57 people and leaving their remains charred beyond recognition, officials say. The chief of the emergency department at a Karachi medical center says they have received 57 bodies and treated four injured survivors. She says the hospital will have to do DNA tests to identify the victims. The region's transport minister says the crash happened when the bus hit the oil tanker on a highway about 30 miles outside Karachi. The tanker driver survived but fled the scene, reports the BBC.
