A Florida prostitution sting yielded 61 arrests over four days in early December ... including that of a former Baltimore police officer. Mete Girit, 29, allegedly posted an ad for "male escort services," then, at an undercover location and apparently not very suspicious of police tactics despite his background, allegedly offered an officer sex in exchange for $200. A later search of his vehicle uncovered a Baltimore Police Department Officer's badge, WTSP reports, and he told detectives he retired in 2009 after he hurt his knee chasing a suspect. March 2015 update: The State Attorney's Office in February dropped the charge of offering to commit prostitution against Girit. (More human trafficking stories.)
