More eBay goodies may go on sale tomorrow as angry sellers end a 1-week boycott, USA Today reports. The ban "has had no impact on our listings," one eBay exec said, but third-party tracking sites saw a 13% drop. The sellers' snub was sparked when eBay recently upped its commission and eliminated bad buyer feedback.
While past eBay boycotts have quickly fizzled, these protesters "made a loud statement," one industry expert said. An anti-eBay video on YouTube and a MySpace page explaining the strikers' beef added to the ban. "When I heard the changes I thought it was April Fool's Day," said one powerseller who participated in the boycott. (More eBay stories.)
