Byron Eaton scored a career-high 26 points today and Oklahoma State needed every one of them, reports the Associated Press. Eaton sank a free throw with 12.6 seconds left to give the Cowboys a 61-60 Big 12 win and knock No. 4 Kansas out of first place in the conference standings. Brandon Rush missed a 3-pointer for the Jayhawks at the buzzer.

Kansas (24-3, 9-3) stormed back from a 9-point second-half deficit to go ahead by 4 with three minutes left. The game was tied when Sasha Kaun fouled Eaton going to the basket. He hit the first free throw for the winner, and went 16 of 18 from the charity stripe for the game. Kansas had been tied in the Big 12 standings with No. 7 Texas, a winner today.
