Some of the last known movements of missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham are being pieced together with the help of surveillance video. The two most recent videos to surface haven't been released, but police have described their contents. An eyewitness previously told police that Graham entered the downtown pedestrian mall area in Charlottesville around 1am, and the new videos back that up. The first video, sourced from a camera in the Downtown Mall area and time-stamped 1:06am Saturday, captures a male walking down the 200 block of East Main Street, reports the Daily Progress. Police say he "glances briefly over his shoulder, then steps into a doorway and stops." Graham then walks by that doorway, and the man steps out and begins trailing her.
A video taken two minutes later on the street's 300 block shows the same man following Graham. In that video, she is accompanied by a woman. WVIR reports that the man captured in the videos has gone to police; he says he followed Graham to see if she needed help, and that he spotted a man put his arm around Graham. The station reports police will look today for more video that might indicate where the two went. Graham's final text—which read "I'm coming to a party... but I'm lost"—was sent at 1:20am. The city police chief has pleaded with anyone who might have seen Graham on the Downtown Mall to "pick up the phone and tell us something, regardless of how insignificant you think it might be." (In a video released yesterday, Graham is seen running.)
