A grinning Dr. Kent Brantly walked into a press conference at Emory University Hospital this morning, the fully recovered survivor of Ebola virus. "Today is a miraculous day," he said. "I'm thrilled to be alive, to be well, and to be here with my family." He continued, at times tearfully, "God saved my life, a direct answer to thousands and thousands of prayers." The CDC said this morning that both Americans have been declared free of the virus, "are not contagious," and "pose no public health concern." And contrary to earlier reports, Nancy Writebol was released from Emory on Tuesday; she's now in an undisclosed location with her husband. An Emory doctor said the hospital is respecting her desire for privacy. "It was the right decision to bring these patients back to America for treatment," said the doctor. (More Kent Brantly stories.)
