A Massachusetts driver with a Maserati painted like a police car was stopped by a police officer who realized that even the cops in Monaco don't drive Maseratis. The Braintree driver, who was charged with impersonating a police officer, had made the $100,000 luxury Italian car look like a police cruiser with a black-and-white paint job and police decals, a police spokesman tells the Patriot Ledger. But instead of "Protect and Serve" on the door shield, the driver had the slogan "Decepticons Punish and Enslave," the AP notes. Police say the driver—who didn't try to outrun the officer who pulled him over—claimed he was actually helping police, "because other drivers noticed him and slowed down, thinking it was a police vehicle."
