Celebrity / Freddie Prinze Jr. Freddie Prinze Jr.: Kiefer Made Me Want to Quit Acting There's no love lost between the former '24' co-stars, according to Prinze By Jenn Gidman, Newser Staff Posted Jul 29, 2014 10:59 AM CDT Updated Jul 29, 2014 11:18 AM CDT Copied Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kiefer Sutherland, Katee Sackhoff, and Freddie Prinze Jr. were all smiles at the premiere screening for the eighth season of "24" in New York on Jan. 14, 2010. (AP Photo/Charles Sykes) Here's a Hollywood catfight you probably didn't see coming: Freddie Prinze Jr. vs. Kiefer Sutherland. Prinze tells ABC News that he “hated every moment” he spent on the set of 24 in 2010, and that co-star Sutherland almost caused him to quit the acting business entirely. “Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world,” Prinze says. “That's not me talking trash—I'd say it to his face. I think everyone that's worked with him has said that.” Well, maybe not everyone. A Fox official who spoke to TMZ took issue with Prinze’s slam, saying Sutherland was “nothing but professional during the run of the show and is beloved by cast and crew," pointing out, "We wouldn't have done another 24 if Kiefer were anything like Freddie described.” Sutherland appears to be taking the high road on this one: His rep issued a statement to ABC News that says “this is the first [Sutherland] has heard of Freddie's grievances” and that “Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best." (No worries, Freddie—there’s at least one head-butt victim who’s probably on your side.) Report an error
