Don't mess with a woman's hair. That's the lesson after a US postal worker went on a rampage at a Manhattan salon last week after she blamed stylists for "screwing up her hair," police say. While wearing her work uniform Friday, Rachel Meyers, 26, allegedly got angry during her visit and started throwing shampoo bottles, hairstyling tools, and chairs around Century 27 Beauty Salon, reports DNAinfo New York. "She was yelling, cursing at the hairstylists, saying they had knotted her hair," says one customer who suffered a gashed knee after she got in the way of a "20-pound metal box"—a curling iron stand she says Meyers "hurled at my head." She adds, "I don't think she was throwing it at me—I was just in the way of this crazy scene."

The customer says she tried to calm Meyers down "but she shooed me away, saying it was the employees' fault and they needed to fix it." That's not, however, the story coming from salon owner Favi Ramirez, who says the woman's hair was already knotted when she came in, and she "laughed about it initially. She was wearing a weave, but took it out, to have her hair conditioned, to have it washed and set." She had come in unscheduled during her break from work, he says, and when she became impatient and complained that she needed to get back to work, "she switched. She went postal," Ramirez tells the New York Daily News. Ramirez adds, per the New York Post, that Meyers "spent the weekend in jail and she lost her job" as a result. Meyers is charged with four misdemeanors, including assault, harassment, and criminal possession of a weapon. (Click to read about more crazy crimes, including an angry driver who ran himself over.)
