A sampling: Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick used a surrogate mother to give birth to their twins, and during the pregnancy, Parker feared for the surrogate mom's safety thanks to the paparazzi. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban used a gestational carrier to give birth to their second daughter, Faith Margaret. Kidman said she "desperately" wanted another child, but couldn't get pregnant again.
