Rookie Al Thornton scored 25 points in the Los Angeles Clippers’ 96-89 defeat of the Milwaukee Bucks. Thornton led a balanced offensive attack that saw Sam Cassell score 21 points, to go along with eight assists, and Corey Maggette score 20. Mo Williams, who is recovering from the flu, led Milwaukee with 31 points on 12-of-20 shooting, reports the Associated Press.

Playing in just his second game back after missing six contests with a knee injury Michael Redd scored just 11 points but dished 11 assists and hauled in seven rebounds. The defeat gives the Bucks a season-high three straight losses at home; they have also lost six of their last seven overall. Chris Kaman grabbed 15 rebounds in the win. (More basketball stories.)
