Hunter Gandee pulled it off: He marched for 40 miles carrying his brother on his back, all in an effort to raise awareness of cerebral palsy. The walk took Hunter, 14, and younger bro Braden, 7, from a junior high school in Temperance, Mich., to the University of Michigan’s Bahna Wrestling Center. Along with their family, friends, and neighbors, they walked 25 miles on Saturday and 15 on Sunday, mlive.com reports.
"I knew he'd do it, and I had faith in him the entire time," says Hunter's mother, Danielle, whose dream one night reportedly inspired the walk. At the end of the trip, they found a "huge group of people just waiting for us," says his sister. The family posted updates along the walk on Facebook. (More uplifting news stories.)
