A person has been charged with driving Rob Ford's Cadillac Escalade while under the influence, and that person is not Rob Ford. Rather, the driver has been identified by cops as 36-year-old Lee Anne McRobb, who the Toronto Sun reports was also recently enjoying a stay at the same rehab center as Ford, but specifically why she was driving the Caddy is, well, "It doesn't matter," says McRobb. "That's for me to know. You guys don't need to know." Further, she adds that she's since left rehab, which maybe wasn't so "amazing": "I'm out of there."
A police statement says McRobb was pulled over 2:30pm Tuesday, and "the female driver and lone occupant was [sic] found to be impaired by alcohol." And the whole incident is apparently equally mystifying to mayoral brother Doug Ford, who appeared relieved by the respite from Rob Ford's antics: "It’s news to me. I don’t think it is good news anyone driving with DUI, I think it is terrible but they said (the mayor) wasn’t in the car." Chimed in Rob Ford's lawyer: "There is no allegation (Ford) was behind the wheel—that’s good news." Ford remains in rehab. (More Rob Ford stories.)
