Carmelo Anthony had his career-best game with 49 points and Marcus Camby grabbed 17 rebounds in a one-two punch against a Wizards team that never knew what hit it. Used to playing without Gilbert Arenas but now missing Caron Butler and Antonio Daniels, Washington gave up its sixth straight game, 111-100, the Rocky Mountain News reports. On other regulation courts:

  • It looked as if Seattle could capitalize on Phoenix's lack of focus at the wire, so Wally Szczerbiak called a timeout. But the Sonics were fresh out, and the mistake cost them a 103-99 defeat.
  • Sacramento snapped Utah's 10-game streak, thanks largely to a 16-1 fourth-quarter run that left the Jazz trailing 117-104.
