The Supreme Court ruled sodomy bans unconstitutional 10 years ago, yet Louisiana voted to uphold its anti-sodomy law last week—and it's not the only state that still has such a law on the books. As the AP reports, Montana and Virginia were the only two of 14 states with sodomy bans to repeal their laws after the Supreme Court's decision; including Louisiana, that means 12 states still have such laws:
- Alabama
- Florida
- Idaho
- Kansas
- Louisiana
- Michigan
- Mississippi
- North Carolina
- Oklahoma
- South Carolina
- Texas
- Utah
