Pope Francis' native language is Spanish, which helps explain the F-bomb that he dropped during his weekly blessing yesterday. Speaking from the Vatican in Italian, he intended to say the word "example" or "case," which would have been "caso." Instead, he said "cazzo," which UPI reports literally means "penis," but is also a synonym for a certain four-letter swear. The actual line: "If each one of us does not amass riches only for oneself, but half for the service of others, in this f–- [pause], in this case the providence of God will become visible through this gesture of solidarity." The New York Post reports that some called the slip-up an easy one for a Spanish speaker to make when speaking Italian. (More Pope Francis stories.)
