This might make people think twice about accepting packages for others: After a diplomat's son in London accepted a parcel addressed for a neighbor who wasn't home, he was arrested and chemical and biological teams spent days tearing his house and garden apart, the Telegraph reports. The package contained a toxin similar to ricin, which police say a friend of the neighbor's planned to use to murder her mother.
Sources say the 19-year-old was arrested because police found him "evasive." A family friend says the family understands "that the police have to do their job and check out information they have been given" and they are not angry with authorities. The 36-year-old woman who allegedly ordered the toxin online has been charged with attempted murder, Independent reports. (More London stories.)
