NBC's live version of The Sound of Music may not have garnered very good reviews, but you can't argue with nearly 19 million viewers. As expected, the network will do another live musical in December, and it announced yesterday that musical will be Peter Pan. "Get ready for flying children and some [state]-of-the-art technology for Tinkerbell," said NBC boss Robert Greenblatt. As for casting, he joked, "I want Miley Cyrus!" But no actual casting news has been revealed, though Greenblatt tells the Hollywood Reporter Carrie Underwood will probably not be back, and Peter will likely be played by a male actor. The special will air Dec. 4, E! reports. (More NBC stories.)
