Damion James got himself out of the doghouse today by rallying No. 10 Texas to an 80-72 win over No. 25 Baylor, the Associated Press reports. James scored 17 points and had eight rebounds in the Big 12 win. Texas (17-4, 4-2) was down 14 points in the first half, but pulled away late for the win.

James is the only Longhorn averaging double figures in points and rebounds, but he was benched earlier this week by coach Rick Barnes for a lack of defense. James sparked the rally in the first half by scoring 11 points, including two 3-pointers that kept the Bears (16-4, 4-2) from putting the game away. A.J. Abrams led the Longhorns with 20 points.
