It's probably not the first sign you'd expect to see at a country star's Virginia restaurant: "No Guns Permitted." But that's precisely what's on the door at Toby Keith's new establishment in Woodbridge, reports MyFoxDC. It's legal in Virginia for people to go into bars and restaurants with a gun, but owners can opt out of the rule, as the singer has done at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill. And it's not sitting well with fans visiting the restaurant's Facebook page.
"No guns means I won't patronize your restaurant or buy your music or concert tickets. You are a FAKE," reads one typical post. The Blaze notes that the rule is especially surprising coming from Keith, who has been a big pro-gun advocate throughout his career. “If somebody asked me, ‘Why do you have one? What are you afraid of?’ I’d say, ‘I ain’t afraid of nothing. I carry so I don’t have to be,'" he once said. (More Toby Keith stories.)
