Crime / George Zimmerman Zimmerman's Gal: Drop Charges, Let Me 'Be With Him' Samantha Scheibe wants charges dropped in new affidavit By Neal Colgrass, Newser Staff Posted Dec 9, 2013 5:30 PM CST Copied George Zimmerman, acquitted in the high-profile killing of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, listens in court Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, in Sanford, Fla. (AP Photo/Orlando Sentinel, Joe Burbank, Pool) Breaking her furniture and sticking a gun in her face? George Zimmerman's girlfriend says it never happened. In fact, she no longer wants to press charges against him and wants to be with him again, ABC News reports. "When I was being questioned by police I felt very intimidated," said Samantha Scheibe in a new affidavit. "I believe that the police misinterpreted me and that I may have misspoken about certain facts in my statement to police." In fact, he "never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner. ... I want to be with George." Zimmerman's attorney, Jayne Weintraub, says the 27-year-old Scheibe approached her and asked for his bail to be modified so she could see him again. That contradicts what Scheibe told a 911 dispatcher on the night of Zimmerman's most recent arrest: "He's in my house, breaking all my s— because I asked him to leave," she said. "He's got a freaking gun, breaking all my stuff right now." Since being found not guilty in the killing of Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman has been pulled over for speeding twice and was arrested for allegedly punching his father-in-law and threatening to shoot him and his wife.
