A Montana woman who pushed her new husband off a cliff to his death had discussed killing her mother and stepfather about five weeks earlier, prosecutors intend to allege in court. In court filings, prosecutors say they have evidence that 22-year-old Jordan Graham made the remarks, and that they help "negate innocent intent and demonstrate the likelihood that the defendant did an act with the requisite intent" in the cliff incident, Reuters reports.
Prosecutors say they'll also present evidence that Graham has made false accusations of abuse against previous romantic partners, which they will argue hurts her credibility in the incident with husband Cody Johnson. Graham told investigators that Johnson "tried to hold me down" during an argument at home just before they took their fateful hike through Glacier National Park. There, Graham admits she pushed Johnson off a cliff, but says she did so reflexively when he grabbed her arm during an argument. (More Jordan Linn Graham stories.)
