A corrections report stating Ariel Castro may have died from "auto-erotic asphyxiation" is quickly being shot down by a pretty reliable informant—Castro's coroner. Jan Gorniak says there were no signs of sexual stimulation, and though she wasn't aware Castro's pants and underwear were found at his ankles, that doesn't change things, CNN reports. "I did the autopsy myself. I saw the ligature. I saw the pictures of the cell. It was a suicide," Gorniak says. As for those who initially made the claim: "They were outside of their lane," she says. "I don't think anyone else should have an opinion on what the cause of death was." Click to read more of the initial report, involving a late ambulance and faked records. (More Ariel Castro stories.)
