Kanye West went on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, where it quickly became apparent that his Twitter feud with Kimmel was very real, and not a prank dreamed up by the late night host. But the two made nice, though the AP calls West's 30-minute sit-down "sometimes uncomfortable." Kimmel was quick to explain to Kanye that "a lot of people think you're a jerk," mostly because West is always calling himself a genius. "The truth is a lot of people think they're geniuses, but nobody says it because it's weird to say it," Kimmel explained. "But it is most certainly more honest to say, 'I am a genius.'"
Kanye's response: "I'm totally weird and totally honest and I'm totally inappropriate sometimes, and the thing is for me not to say I'm not a genius I'd be lying to you and to myself." West went on to talk about (in what the AP calls "stream-of-consciousness"-style), race, class, fashion, the paparazzi, the nature of celebrity, false humility, and his belief that Kim Kardashian should have a star on the Walk of Fame. Of course, it wasn't all serious: In part 4 of the interview, you can hear Josh Groban sing some of Kanye's tweets. (More Kanye West stories.)
